- YouTube will stop sharing on Twitter for sharing on January 31.
- With this feature, YouTube videos could be automatically shared on Twitter.
- However, this decision will not affect videos that have already been posted to Twitter.
The video sharing platform YouTube is going to shut down the feature through which users share their YouTube activity on Twitter. YouTube will shut down this service on January 31, after which YouTube will not be able to share the activity automatically on Twitter. With the help of this feature, whenever users posted a video on YouTube, they would also automatically post to Twitter.
To share the video now, ‘share button’ must be used.
So far, YouTube Video had the option of automatically sharing on Twitter, for which you had to select YouTube’s settings and select ‘Share Your Public Activity to Twitter’ option in ‘Connected apps’. However, this option will also close after the feature is closed, after which you will have to use the ‘share button’ to share YouTube videos. YouTube also says that if a user wants to share the video of his YouTube channel on Twitter, then use the share button.
The effect will not fall on the shared video before this decision.
However, YouTube has also made it clear that after the new update comes, there will not be any impact on the videos shared on Twitter and the previously posted videos will remain on Twitter. After January 31, users can link to their YouTube channels by linking to social media and share videos from YouTube page.
